Google Map Scraper
Extract complete business profiles directly from Google Maps search results - no API key or plan-based limit, just what the live results list shows. And when Maps isn’t enough, the Epic Scraper (below) grabs tables from any website on the internet.
How It Works
The scraper works with the Maps page you already have open in Chrome:
- Search your niche + city on
google.com/maps(e.g. “Dentists in New York”). - Open the DataMint side panel and start the scrape.
- DataMint auto-scrolls the results panel to load as many listings as possible, then opens each business card to read its full details.
- Rows land in your Data Table live, with an elapsed timer running in the panel.
Extracted Fields
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Business Name | Official listing name |
| Phone | Primary phone number |
| Website | Business website URL |
| Address | Full street address |
| Category | Listing category (e.g. “Dental clinic”) |
| Rating | Star rating (1–5) |
| Reviews | Total review count |
| Popular Times | Busiest hours, where the listing shows them |
Getting More Results
The scraper reads what’s loaded in the results list - so more scrolling = more data:
- Let the auto-scroll run to the end of the list before stopping.
- Searching a more specific area (neighborhood, borough) often surfaces listings that a city-wide search hides behind its limit.
- For very large markets, split into multiple searches (“plumbers in Brooklyn”, “plumbers in Queens”) - you’ll get a warning that a new scrape replaces current lead data, so export first.
Maps Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| “No results found” | Broaden the query; confirm listings are visible in the left panel |
| Fewer rows than expected | Let auto-scroll finish completely; try more specific areas |
| Scraper stops midway | Don’t navigate away from the Maps tab mid-run |
| Extension does nothing on the page | Refresh the tab once and retry |
Epic Scraper: Any Website’s Tables
Google Maps is just the start. The Epic Scraper auto-detects tables and repeating data on any webpage - directories, marketplaces, comparison sites, member lists - and sends them straight to your Data Table.
How It Works
- Open the website with the data you want in a normal Chrome tab.
- Trigger the table scan from the DataMint side panel.
- DataMint analyzes the page and detects up to 8 candidate tables - scoring them by how “table-like” their structure is (repeating rows, consistent columns).
- Detected tables appear in the side panel picker. Use prev/next to step through them - the matching element on the page gets a green overlay highlight so you can see exactly what each candidate covers.
- Pick the right one and send it to the Data Table - headers become columns, rows become leads.
Tips for Best Results
- Scroll through the page first - lazy-loading sites only render rows you’ve scrolled past. If the scan misses data, scroll down and re-scan.
- The overlay is your friend - always confirm the green highlight covers the full table you want before importing.
- Wrong table detected? Step through the candidates with prev/next; pages with multiple tables (nav menus, sidebars, footers) often produce several candidates.
- After a fresh extension install or reload, refresh the tab once before scanning.
Epic Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| “No tables found” | Scroll through the page to force lazy-load, then re-scan |
| Wrong rows imported | You picked the wrong candidate - check the green overlay, step with prev/next |
| Scanner does nothing | Refresh the tab (extension was reloaded) and scan again |
| Only part of the table came in | The rest wasn’t rendered yet - scroll fully and re-scan |
After Scraping
You now have a normal Data Table - everything works on it:
- Run AI enrichment presets on any column
- Verify phones and emails before outreach
- Edit, clean up, and export - see Manage Data Table
