Business Contacts Verification

Verify contacts before outreach - check which phone numbers are active on WhatsApp through your own session, and verify email deliverability with Reoon.

Business Contacts Verification

A found contact is only worth sending to if it works. This guide covers the two verification tools: the WhatsApp Checker (is the number active on WhatsApp?) and the Email Verify Checker (will the email deliver?).

WhatsApp Verification

Stop wasting messages on dead numbers. DataMint opens each number on WhatsApp Web in your own Chrome and checks whether it’s an Active WhatsApp account - so every message lands on a real, reachable contact.

How It Works

  1. Make sure you’re logged into WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) in the same Chrome profile as the extension.
  2. In the Data Table, pick the phone column and run the WhatsApp Checker preset.
  3. DataMint opens each number as a wa.me chat, one at a time, and detects whether the account exists.
  4. Each number is tagged Active or Not Active in the column.

No backend or API keys are required - the check runs entirely through your logged-in WhatsApp Web session.

Safety Delay

Because each check opens a real chat, DataMint paces itself:

  • Delay slider: 0–60 seconds between checks, default 15s.
  • “Risk” badge: settings of 5 seconds or below show a risk warning - fast checking mimics bot behavior and can get your WhatsApp account flagged.
  • Checks always run one at a time (no parallel checking).

Recommendation: leave the delay at 15s or higher. Verifying 100 numbers at the default pace takes around 25 minutes - run it in a background tab and check back.

Phone Number Format

The checker works best with full international numbers (E.164, e.g. +8801712345678). If your numbers are missing country codes, use the Phone Number Finder or a custom AI column to normalize them first - see Find Business Contacts.

Email Verification (Reoon)

Extraction proves the email is published - not that it delivers. Cold outreach requires near-zero bounce rates to keep your sending domain out of spam folders, so verify with Reoon before you send.

Requirements: desktop app running + Reoon API key (Set Up Your API Keys) - no LLM key needed.

Two Verification Modes

ModeWhat it doesSpeedTimeout
Quick (default)Syntax + disposable-domain checks~0.5s15s
PowerFull SMTP probe - connects to the mail server and checks the mailboxslower70s

Power mode also adds an overall deliverability score (NN%) and detailed logs. If Power times out on an address, DataMint suggests retrying with Quick.

Status Meanings

Reoon statusCell labelMeaning
valid✅ ValidMailbox exists and accepts mail
safe✅ Safe to sendDeliverable with normal risk
invalid❌ InvalidMailbox/domain rejects mail - don’t send
disabled❌ DisabledMailbox disabled
inbox_full / disposable / catch_all / role_account⚠️ flaggedSend with caution
spamtrap🚫 SpamtrapNever send - spam trap address
unknown❓ UnknownCouldn’t determine

What the checks cover: MX record lookup (domain receives mail), SMTP handshake (server accepts the recipient without actually sending), disposable-domain filtering (burner addresses), and catch-all detection (servers that accept any username - the riskiest category to trust).

Workflow

  1. Get emails into a column (scrape → find, import, paste).
  2. Run Email Verify Checker on that column - Run first 10 to confirm your key works.
  3. Export the CSV and filter on the status column before building your campaign.

Troubleshooting
